So anyways, I had the sudden idea to draw this scene, and the effects this scene has on a few characters. This is the first of the series of drawings that tell the story of " "A Brotherly Betrayal." It's from Foxfang's point of view. // Foxfang stormed into the clearing, a small apprentice struggling to get free as he dragged her to the clearing. It was as if the forest itself knew of what was to happen. He dropped her roughly to the ground in front of Thundersong. He watched as she backed away, first from the members of the Deliverance towards Foxfang, and then away from him as he returned her gaze coldly. "Foxfang, what's going on?" She asked in a scared voice. Foxfang ignored her. "I feel like I was cheating in my innitiation." He said, referring to when he took one of Eclipsestar's lives. "She couldn't fight back, and she was practically dead already. I didn't prove anything." He said, "So I brought Gingerpaw. This is a true testimony to my loyalty. Not every cat would have the guts to kill their own sister." He said, and he turned to Gingerpaw. He heard her make a small sound as she appeared to be frozen in place. Then she screamed a long and piercing note than rang in his ears. He almost grinned as Gingerpaw turned and ran for the other side of the clearing. That made it more interesting, didn't it? He caught up to her easily before she even reached the edge of the clearing. Slamming one paw down on her neck and then he leaned down to look into her eyes. Hers widened as they met his own. "But why?" She asked and then she let out one last scream as he delivered the final bite. Then there was silence. As he walked away from the body, the silence chased away everything that had once been sound, and he felt as though the remaining light inside him had departed with it.
