Regal had followed the patrol to be close to Hell Hound, and now that they were at the border the she-cat looked out at Charity, Twinsouls, and Nightrivers, struggling to remember if she'd had encounters with any of them before today. None of them looked familiar, but in the djin of Origam's Place and the smell of catnip and moldy straw, who could tell anymore?

She was still ready to fight, though her motives were muddied- she didn't know whether she was doing it because of her puppydog love for Hell Hound, or to protect Malibu at camp.

Anteros became withdrawn once they'd reached the border, the awkward apprentice feeling rather overwhelmed once cats made their appearance on the other side of the border. She awkwardly made an aggressive guesture towards Nightrivers, the bengal stuttering through her hesitant words, "Yeah? Well we are!"

Nightrivers glared at the EclipseClanners for a moment longer before looking back to Twinsouls and Remember.

"Come on, let's go." Night made a sharp gesture back in the direction of camp, and began stalking back through the territory, not sparing the EclipseClanners another glance.

Brandy stormed through the alleyway, her disheveled, fretting appearance and flouncy movements setting off immediate bad vibes. Bourbon- he doesn't have the right to act so __ casual around me when he's done something so inhumane- I can't. With him around, the business is better off dead. Incoherent grumbles sounded from the she-cat as she angrily marched on, too engrossed in her wallow of self-anger to register the fact that several clan-cats were in the area.

Twinsouls nodded his agreement and nudged Remember to leave.

"Hey! I'm not done with you!" Bloody Mary spat across the Thunderpath, her fur bristling as the patrol made moves to depart.

Rather than responding, Twinsouls turned his back to the group of EclipseClanners and made a move to follow his mate and the small tortoiseshell who was carrying their kits.

That was the wrong move.

In a flash of fury and prey drive spurred on by the SunClanners turning their back to her, exposing their own weakness, Bloody Mary raced across the Thunderpath with a war like screech. She did not aim for Nightrivers or for Twinsouls, they were not the traitor and they were both larger than her. Instead, her body connected with Charity's and she dragged the former EclipseClanners straight to the ground. She was a ball of fangs and claws, her body itself rather weak but her movements light and made with fatal intent.

Hell Hound followed the example. He held no personal grudge against the SunClanners, but Bloody Mary would soon find herself skinned alive if she didn't receive backup. The cat was far too small to face down either of the SunClan toms, but he wasn't. The murderous Donskoy targeted Nightrivers. He brought his perfectly sharpened claws down towards the tom's hindquarters.

Regal herself targetted Twinsouls, the she-cat's heavy musculature colliding with the tom in a battle of the ages. Her black-tipped claws flashed to aim a blow at the tom's ugly muzzle, if only to mark him up the same way Regal's muzzle held Deluxious's clawmarks. Regal was no stranger to taking out personal anger on impersonal relationships, and here she was again, exacting revenge on a cat that had nothing to do with the original qualm.

Anteros ran across the thunderpath without looking, having received very little training from anybody but Jaggedice, Goldenshadow, and Crimsonstride. The apprentice looked to the left and took a step onto the cold stone just before a small monster hurtled down the thunderpath, and she let out a screech as it crushed her back legs. She crumpled in the middle, wailing, the pain not registering beyond pure, unadulterated shock. Her green eyes were wide and she focused unsteadily on the warriors who fought around her.

Nightrivers let out a yelp of surprise as Hell Hound's claws tore through the flesh of his hindquarters, raking long gashes along the tom's pelt. Night stumbled forward and whirled around, claws slipping out and digging into the earth beneath his paws as he let out a low growl.

"What is it with you trash-pickers?! Always scavenging for blood?!" Nightrivers hissed, and launched himself onto Hellhound, a flurry of claws and fangs.

Wren's warm amber eyes were wide as he watched the battle erupt out of thin air. Blood splattered across the ground and shouts of surprise and anger filled the air. Wren made no move to join the madness.

Twinsouls was thrown off by the sound of Anteros' blood curdling scream. Fixed in place, he was unable to react as Regal slammed right into him, striking him with a blow to the side of his head so powerful it sent him reeling. Long gashes were left in the wake of Regal's claws. He cried out in pain, but lashed out blindly in return. His back legs flailed out in the direction he thought Regal to be.

Charity shook Bloody Mary free of her, and spun to enter the fight. She raised a paw and raked her claws along Bloody Mary's face, but it did not slow the she-cat. She was out for blood now. Bloody Mary tackled Charity back to the ground and, noting that this cat seemed a little more plump than usual, aimed for her stomach.

Regal hissed as Twinsoul's claws tangled in her long chest fur, their sharpness ripping out a section of the carefully manicured fur. "You *****!" she shouted as blood welled in the wound, a scrape that hurt terribly and caused her much more issue than it problably should've as her skin stretched over her masculine form. She skidded away from the failed dodge, flicking an ear at Anteros. She cast the apprentice a worried look before shrugging- someone else would get her. And if she was dumb enough to run in front of a car, she probably wouldn't have been much help anyway.

Anteros' eyes fluttered as she finally crawled onto the opposite side of the freeway from the fighting, it being the closest one to her. Blood washed away from the asphalt and between her and the fighting, car after car flew. Guys, she thought silently, wailing for her brother's image when he realized how she'd been killed in a stupid border attack, Please. . . help . . .

She focused on Bloody mary for a split second, then Twinsouls, then Regal- all blurs in her peripheral.

Brandy, now broken out of her self-indulged trance as the deafening noises of fighting reached her ears, nearly choked on her spit as she watched one of the younger cats collide with a racing vehicle and was discarded to the side of the road like her life was worth nothing. "What the __?" She burst out, glancing frantically to each cat within range--whether occupied in a physical brawl or not--if they'd make a move to help their own clanmate. No? The __? That's- that's so digusting! Even Regal? You'd think she'd be a little more empathetic! __ her! Without giving it a second thought, Brandy hustled over towards the foreign cat, the consequences of her actions not registering in her mind.

Anteros squealed in pain and fear as Brandy trotted over, not recognizing the she-cat beyond her scent- sharp and herb-like, with a distinct warmth of yeast. Alcohol and drugs. Liquor Gang! Anteros' mind wasn't making much sense beyond feeling pain and shock and the warmth of her own blood as it seeped into her bloodied, mangled hindquarters. Her wound wasn't actually fatal- it would be, if treatment couldn't be found, but her crushed hindquarters weren't going to be the end of her.

She focused her green twitching eyes on Brandy, the she-cat's claws coming out instinctively at the unfamiliar but friendly face, aiming to swipe across the kingpin's face.

Paying no heed to Anteros' warning signs of hostility, Brandy hissed through gritted teeth upon the unpleasant sight of mangled, blood-stained limbs. With her lack of medical knowledge and common sense, she assumed that this was the most destructive injury that could ever befallen a cat. "God, it looks- oh God. I-I can't look. How the __ are you still living?" She sputtered numerous foul words before recoiling from Anteros' form in disgust. "How- how could your clanmates leave you in the dust like this?"

Once Pricklypear come upon the fighting, she growled. ¬?Stop!¬? The buff calico yelled above it all, her eyes wide and her fur ruffled. She looked at it all, scared. The last fight she was in...she almost died. The scars in her fur said it all. ¬?Stop fighting! What is wrong with all of you?¬? She stepped in, and pulled her ears back.

Anteros coughed, quaking, her torment her undoing as she stared up at Brandy. "Th-they love me fine," she insisted after a long moment, realizing Brandy meant her no harm. The russet tabby's amber eyes were intoxicating in her pain and the she-cat put all her trust into them.

"Please," she whispered, stretching out a black-and-gray spotted paw, "Help me. . ."

Marshmumble skirted behind Pricklypear, the gray-and-cream calico's buff coat flowing in the breeze. Leaf-bare was here, life was getting hard, and the lavender collar still rested snugly around Marshmumble's neck. She too had had bad luck with fights, and her demotion as medicine cat apprentice had been her humiliating undoing. She was just terrible at her job, and there was no niche for her to fill. Tangypaw had almost killed her in Fence Club, and here that same innocence would surely kill her. She looked to Pricklypear, shaking her head, her cowardice plainly evident.

"No," she said, focusing from Pricklypear to Anteros and the fight, back to Pricklypear, "No, I won't do it, I won't fight. i thought this was just a scouting mission- I'm not following you into battle," she said with a bite, looking to Pricklypear. She was unsure of what the calico would do to help, but- it had to be something. Marshmumble was no warrior.

Twinsouls pulled himself away from Regal, disengaging from the battle and turning his back towards her as she shoved Bloody Mary away from Charity. "Run, go back to the camp!" He shouted at her. "Get help!" While the move had likely saved the life of the little tortoiseshell who went scampering away, he left himself open and undefended.

Hell Hound did not retreat under Nightrivers' onslaught. He had faced stronger, younger warriors toe to toe and survived their blows. So he tolerated the gashes, the slashes, and waited for a moment to strike as his bare skin screeched with pain and flooded with blood. When he finally saw the opening, he lashed out, curved claws aimed directly towards Nightrivers' throat.

Regal screeched as she threw herself at Twinsouls, the she-cat's size to her advantage as the two large cats collided. "Your mate can't save you now," she growled as she landed squarely on his back, watching the tortoiseshell she-cat run fast and far into the territory. She was unaware of Charity's history with EclipseClan, but still felt angry- she could have kits the way she-cats should.

Regal reached down after a half-moment's hesitation, her strong jaws clamping on the tom's white-furred neck, his spine encased between her strong teeth. She reached her claws around his belly, deadly sharp, and pulled, ripping into his underbelly. She would bleed him to death.

With an explosive power, she receeded, leaving his belly slashed to ribbons and the spine of his neck exposed to air. Blood welled around her teeth, stained pink, and droplets rained. Her own blood began to mist down her chestfur from the wound- she stared at Twinsouls, ready to attack again as she waited for the taste to exit her mouth.

¬?No, you will not back away from helping your clan-mates. You have done it before, and doing it again is not an option in my book. Try another excuse.¬? The calico growled back at Marshmumble, her small body tensing up and ready to fight. ¬?I¬?m sure another cat would do just the same as me, to bring pride to their clan and those around them. So Marshmumble, looking away is not an option. I do not take weak cats with weak minds into to battle. This is MY patrol, and I will order it to do as I please. So fight for the freedom that is being pulled away from us! Go!¬? Pricklypear spoke harsh words, that could stick through a cat¬?s skin for life. Her words always seemed to stick, although she never had those words when she was younger. She was older now, though, forced to grow up in the glaring eyes of the EclipseClan cats. Not only did she care for herself, but she cared for the very few around her. She made the decision long before, to help her clan at all costs.

Brandy drawed back from the apprentice's blood-stained paw and remained silent for a moment, contemplating her decisions that were laid out before her. Death is her only actual release- this poor girl is suffering so much, that's the only option left. It should be fit that I'm the only one who is able to kill her. Humanely. Without warning, Brandy flung her paws at Anteros' neck and maneuvered them to where they encased her throat fittingly, and began to squeeze tightly. "This is the only way to help you- don't take it seriously- it's just- your injuries-" She ran at the mouth, not knowing the certain words to mollify the weeping she-cat.

Marshmumble stared at Pricklypear, letting the warrior's words sink in. They felt like needles at the cutter's office, getting under her skin and injecting doubt. But Marshmumble was as ready with her own resolve as Pricklypear was with hers, and the cowardly she-cat shook her head again.

"No," she said again, before running off into the night, pelting into the territory to hide. (EcC Territory)

Anteros' mouth opened, the bengal apprentice looking kitten-like as her green eyes watered and turned red. She reached a paw out to desperately claw at Brandy, listening to the she-cat's words. She's - she's killing me, she thought, and a sob wracked her- the air couldn't get out. Her lungs began to burn, her throat collapsing. She was going to die.

A choked croak escaped her mouth and if her tail would've been able to move, it would've been lashing. But Anteros was in an immense amount of pain, helpless because of ehr mangled back legs. She was stuck.

Hell Hound disengaged with Nightrivers, leaving the bleeding SunClan warrior for dead before he turned back towards the border and made his way across the Thunderpath. He paused near Brandy and the mangled apprentice, his apathetic gaze trailing across her injuries for a heartbeat before he looked away. It was obvious what Brandy was doing, but it needed to be done. Had the she-cat not shown herself, he likely would have done it himself.

"One casualty isn't terrible," The Donskoy grunted to his patrol members. Bloody Mary also watched the scene without comment, letting Brandy do whatever she thought necessary.

The Donskoy jerked his head to the side, signaling the rest of the patrol to follow, and he headed back for EclipseClan's camp. *EcC camp*

Bloody Mary trotted after him.
